Director (Slovenia)
Damjan Kozole is a Slovenian director whose work includes “Spare Parts” (2003), “A Slovenian Girl” (2008) and “Nightlife” (2016). He won the award for the best director at the 51st International Film Festival in Karlovy Vari. The movie “Spare Parts” was nominated for the Golden Bear Award at the 53rd Berlin International Film Festival and in 2008, Sight & Sound ranked it among the ten most important films of New Europe. His documentary hybrid “Pero” (2023) was selected for this year's International Film Festival in Rotterdam.
Director and screenwriter (Serbia)
Born in Yugoslavia in 1979. Studied film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.
His debut feature film, Trail of the Beast which he signed as a director and co-screenwriter, premiered at the opening of the LIFFE festival in 2022. Further participation in international and local festivals ensured the film and author numerous awards. The film's script was adapted from several novels by his father, Zivojin Pavlovic.
