Robb Moss is an independent documentary filmmaker, a Harvard College Professor, and Chair of the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard University. His notable works include films like "Containment," "The Same River Twice," and "Secrecy," which have been screened at Sundance and Tribeca and nominated for Film Independent Spirit Awards. Additionally, Robb Moss has been a creative advisor at the Sundance Institute Doc Labs since their inception and has served as a festival juror at Sundance, San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago. For the past thirty years, he has been teaching filmmaking at Harvard,  where he collaborated with and shared a close friendship with Dusan Makavejev, who also taught at the university. Some of Robb Moss's former students, including renowned filmmakers Andrew Bujalski (called the "godfather of mumblecore) , Jehane Nouhajm (DGA winner) , Joshua Oppenheimer (Oscar nominated films "Act of Killing" and "Look of Silence"), and Damien Chazelle (Oscar for Best Directing "La La Land"), have cited him as an inspiring mentor in their careers.
